Capture the Flag

A Capture the Flag is a hacking contest: teams are given deliberately broken systems and race to break in. It is how the security industry hires.

How it runs

• Teams of 3 or 4, open to every AUB student
• Challenges weighted towards cryptography: leaking encryption keys, intentionally vulnerable systems
• A beginner tier runs beforehand, so a first-year with no experience can still enter

The winning team can go on to represent AUB at national contests such as Semicolon CTF.
