Does client-side scanning break end-to-end encryption? Chat Control scans on the device, before encryption. The cryptography is untouched, but end-to-end promised that only sender and recipient can read.
Do the ends justify the means? Detection requires scanning every message, not only suspects. Is population-wide scanning justified, and what does a state give up once the capability exists?
